"Carolyn" starts off sounding like the music you'd hear in your head if you tried reading "Alice In Wonderland" while coming down from an altogether pleasant acid trip — all flutes and cymbals, jazz chords and passing harmonies — but then: ZOW! Lon and Rini stomp on the fuzz pedals, and you're jolted back to reality. A real showcase for 18 year-old lead guitarist Lon Mackey, this one is a Shoulda Beens exclusive, and definitely worth the one-time purchase price.
